12 Year Nomadiversary!!

12 years full-time in our beloved Eco Womb - 1/15/23

Happy 12 Year Nomadiversary to us!! πŸšŽπŸ’«πŸ’« 12 years of living in our beloved Eco Womb, traveling, growing, exploring, expanding, rooting down, and continuously living life to it’s fullest πŸ’™ And, after not moving her wheels for over a year, living our best Colorado life and enjoying the mountains and lakes in our boat and new campervan, the Eco Roam, we packed up this past weekend and hit the road on an adventure. Partially because we missed the excitement of the open road, and mainly because we needed a reprieve from the cold winter and decided it was time to follow the warm sun south. The kids say their Mama is solar charged, and it’s true, Mama needs the sun β˜€οΈ From the moment we pulled roots and started rolling, though, it has been an adventure. Within the first 24 hours, we had our first breakdown in a long long time, like several years. We got stuck at a truck stop for way too long. Eco Womb Papa Bear had to spend hours upon hours in our engine, under our bed πŸ™ƒ But, through it all, even the really tough moments, it dawned on me that it has never been about how fast our wheels were rolling, or even all the places we have gotten to see in our travels, but it has always always been about the memories made, the lessons learned, the perspective gained, and time together as a family πŸ’™ And, when our boys dropped their plans for the weekend to come help us out and we all pulled together to get our Eco Womb back up and running, well, my Mama heart was full in all the ways. We may have woke up on our Nomadiversary at a truck stop pondering the transient lifestyle, but we ended the day curled up in a cozy campground overlooking a lake with the whole family gathered around our table to eat a warm meal and celebrated our 12 years with cupcakes and shared memories and hugs. I love that we were together when we thought we would be apart from the boys on this day this year. I love that they were there to help out, because that’s what families do. And, I love that today we drove 453 miles, carried along by all that love our home was given over this past weekend. Life on the road has never been easy, but it has always been worth it. And, so the adventure continues! πŸšŽπŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«
